venteon ultra & venteon CEP5
The Carrier Envelope Phase (CEP) is vitally important as the peak electric field will vary along with the CEP. As mode-locked systems produce shorter pulse durations, the relative importance of the phase becomes higher as there are fewer oscillations under each envelope. Novanta’s venteon ultra and venteon CEP5 are uniquely suited for CEP stabilization.
• Direct octave-spanning spectrum – from ~550nm to ~1200nm without an external means of nonlinear broadening such as a PCF provides greater ease of use and long-term stability for applications requiring ultrabroad spectral coverage and few-cycle pulse duration.
• Sub-5-fs duration without any external nonlinear means of pulse compression – the pulses are less than 2 optical cycles long and ideally suited for applications requiring the highest possible time-resolution.
• Carrier-envelope phase (CEP) stabilization is done directly with the light from the laser – using an f-2f interferometer with no white-light generation required for exceptional long-term stability.
• No acousto-optic modulator (AOM) is needed – and the servo bandwidth far exceeds that of conventional systems, leading to significantly better residual CEP noise.
